What McLeod Method™ Does — and Does Not — Claim

Clear communication is part of evidence-informed practice.

McLeod Method™ is a conservative, multimodal framework developed to support people living with Lipoedema and complex tissue concerns.

It brings together tissue-aware treatment, selected electrophysical modalities, compression, movement and self-management within a structured and individualised approach.

McLeod Method™ is designed to support areas such as:

• comfort and symptom management
• movement and physical function
• tissue mobility and tolerance
• conservative fluid-management strategies where appropriate
• sustainable self-management
• greater understanding of the individual's tissue and symptoms

However, McLeod Method™ does not claim to cure Lipoedema.

It does not claim to permanently remove Lipoedema tissue, prevent disease progression, replace medical or surgical treatment, or guarantee a particular physical or symptomatic outcome.

It does not claim that every modality within the framework has been independently proven to treat Lipoedema.

Some components of McLeod Method™ draw upon established principles of conservative Lipoedema management. Others are informed by research into relevant physiological mechanisms, related therapeutic applications and clinical observation.

The complete McLeod Method™ framework and its specific treatment sequence require further formal evaluation.

This distinction is intentional.

McLeod Method™ is committed to communicating what is supported by evidence, identifying where evidence remains limited and allowing future research to refine the framework.

Individual responses will vary, and treatment decisions should always consider personal presentation, appropriate screening, contraindications and professional scope of practice.

We do not need to overstate the evidence to value what we observe.

We investigate it. We measure it. We learn from it.
