A science-informed approach to complex tissue support.
McLeod Method™ is built around a simple principle: complex tissue concerns are unlikely to be explained — or supported — by a single system in isolation.
Emerging research into Lipoedema and related tissue dysfunction points toward an interplay between adipose tissue, connective tissue, the microcirculation, inflammation, lymphatic function and movement.
For this reason, McLeod Method™ takes a multimodal approach.
Rather than relying on one intervention, the framework brings together carefully selected physical and electrophysical modalities, compression, movement and ongoing self-management — each chosen for a specific role within the treatment sequence.
The rationale is informed by research across areas including conservative Lipoedema management, lymphatic support, compression therapy, photobiomodulation, therapeutic ultrasound, physical therapy and movement.
Importantly, McLeod Method™ does not claim that any individual modality “treats” or cures Lipoedema.
Instead, the framework considers how evidence-supported principles may be thoughtfully combined to support tissue health, fluid movement, mobility, comfort and long-term self-management.
Clinical observation informs the framework. Research challenges and refines it. Neither replaces the other.
