The McLeod Method™ Framework

A structured, multimodal approach

McLeod Method™ is built around a simple principle:

Complex tissue requires a considered approach.

Rather than relying on one treatment or modality, the Method brings together complementary physical therapies within a structured framework designed to support tissue health, lymphatic and circulatory function, movement and ongoing self-management.

The framework follows five key principles:

PREPARE

Create the conditions for treatment.

The Method begins by preparing the tissue using carefully selected supportive modalities. This phase is designed to promote a calm, considered treatment environment before more direct tissue intervention begins.

MOBILISE

Work with the tissue — never against it.

Controlled physical intervention is used with an emphasis on appropriate intensity, tissue response and individual tolerance.

For bodies affected by Lipoedema and complex tissue concerns, more aggressive does not necessarily mean more effective.

SUPPORT

Support the body's natural systems.

The Method considers tissue health, lymphatic and circulatory function as interconnected rather than treating an isolated area purely for its appearance.

This is one of the fundamental differences in the McLeod Method™ approach.

COMPRESS

Provide external support.

Compression forms an important component of conservative Lipoedema management and the McLeod Method™ framework.

It is incorporated to support fluid movement and the transition from hands-on treatment into continued movement and self-management.

MAINTAIN

Maintain the Drain.

What happens after treatment matters.

Movement, appropriate compression, hydration, nutrition and ongoing self-care form part of the broader McLeod Method™ philosophy.

The goal is not simply to provide an isolated treatment session.

It is to give women practical ways to continue supporting their bodies between treatments and over the longer term.

Then I want a small section at the bottom that gives this page scientific integrity:

Evidence-informed. Clinically developed. Continually evolving.

McLeod Method™ has been developed through clinical observation and is informed by emerging research across conservative Lipoedema management, physical therapy, compression, movement, lymphatic support and related therapeutic modalities.

The individual components of the framework have different levels of scientific evidence, and the complete proprietary McLeod Method™ protocol has not yet been independently clinically validated.

As research into Lipoedema continues to evolve, so will McLeod Method™.

Because responsible innovation means being as clear about what we are still learning as we are about what we already know.
